Greg Garnich started mowing lawns, raking leaves and shoveling snow at the age of ten in his neighborhood in Ewing, New Jersey. Fourteen years later, in 1988, Gregs Landscaping was incorporated, serving not only the residents of Greenway Avenue, but those of central New Jersey and the surrounding Philadelphia area.
With an obvious love of working outside and an appreciation for nature, Greg was taken under tutelage of a local horticulturalist from whom he learned the science of plant cultivation, design principles and work ethic. While earning a BA in Finance at The College of New Jersey and worked on a Masters at Rider University, Greg continued to serve his customers and grow his business.
Over the years, Greg has been fortunate to have travelled to the far corners of the globe, visiting some of the world’s most breathtaking vistas and studying Mother Nature’s way of design. Back home in New Jersey, his landscaping designs have been described as classical, natural and above all, livable.

Michael Mellor joined Gregs Landscaping in 1997 to work in the field with our lawn care specialists cutting lawns and maintaining gardens and landscapes. As Michael’s interest in landscaping and construction developed, he studied and earned his certification in Landscape Management from Rutgers University. Since then, he returns to Rutgers to attend various horticultural seminars and received his certification for installing concrete pavers from the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. What Michael enjoys most about his work are the unique challenges presented by the diverse landscaping projects he manages. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring the home he shares with his wife, Sara and their three cats in Ewing, NJ.
